Lancaster, Texas Logo Design

Nearly every new Lancaster business realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully are aware of the crucial role their business logo will perform in their financial success, or why one logo works far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term influence on the financial success of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Lancaster, Texas businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Lancaster, Texas coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an older part of town and hoped to cast a retro atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs by creating a logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs made for Lancaster, Texas medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Lancaster, Texas.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Lancaster, Texas traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Lancaster logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Lancaster logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced judgements on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo design recognize how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Lancaster, Texas publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most essential part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many cases one of the aspects individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a spirit of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Lancaster logo layout used for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Lancaster, Texas, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually enjoy doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that projected an atmosphere of calmness and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious path of creating just a stylized orchid but instead crafted a business logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is oftentimes the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian equine logo design developed for an equine ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo layout a little dining establishment, style includes a modified script font which floats over a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software designer the design functions and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Lancaster business logo dsign along with an image which captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an Lancaster, Texas regional farm it was in reality devised for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to generate a image that projects confidence, effectiveness, and luxury.

Lancaster Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout feature for ostensibly dealing with arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo developed for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is evocative a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
