Laredo, Texas Logo Design

Every new Laredo venture realizes that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully are aware of the pivotal role their organization logo can make in their financial success, or exactly why one logo design works more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and lasting effect on the prosperity of a company, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Laredo, Texas businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Laredo, Texas coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually launching in an old section of the area and hoped to cast a nostalgic vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by means of designing a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Laredo, Texas medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping green frog made for a household fun center in Laredo, Texas.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Laredo, Texas traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead project emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Laredo logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Laredo logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get objective point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design understand how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Laredo, Texas book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most essential part of a printed book because it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many instances 1 of the items individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a feeling of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Laredo logo style used for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance features an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Laredo, Texas, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually enjoy doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that related an atmosphere of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian steed logo style developed for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a little restaurant, layout contains a changed manuscript font which hovers over a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the layout attributes and also famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the substance behind a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell off their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Laredo logo design dsign using an image that grabs the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually created for an Laredo, Texas area farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this logo design was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to create a brand mark that projects confidence, financial success, and prosperity.

Laredo Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design function for outwardly facing arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo created for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to create a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
