League City, Texas Logo Design

Nearly every new League City business professional realizes that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the essential role their logo design will play in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the viability of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help League City, Texas businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require consideration, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.
Retro logo design of a bike produced for a League City, Texas coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an old section of the area and wanted to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by means of creating a sign design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as germs created for League City, Texas clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a household fun center in League City, Texas.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for League City, Texas traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather project emotional experiences through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  League City logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

League City logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest viewpoints on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their business logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s share of difficulties, however the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for League City, Texas book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a published book since it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many cases 1 of the aspects individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was surely a success.

League City logo design utilized for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in League City, Texas, style consist of an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it seems that virtually every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which projected an atmosphere of contentment and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the importance on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application designer the design attributes as well as renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the substance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their League City logo design dsign with a graphic that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an League City, Texas regional farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular company was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to generate a brand mark that projects confidence, financial success, and opulence.

League City Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout feature for externally dealing with arrowhead as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo design made for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is evocative a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to create a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
