Longview Logo Design

Nearly every new Longview company understands that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely understand the essential role their logo will make in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design works far better than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term impact on the financial success of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Longview businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike created for a Longview coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an old part of the town and really wanted to visualize a vintage vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks via designing a trademark design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and germs made for Longview medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo style with a jumping green frog created for a household fun center in Longview.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - made for Longview traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Longview logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Longview logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest judgements on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how important a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s share of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Longview publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most necessary part of a printed book since it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many instances 1 of the items consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Longview logo layout used for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Instance features an old font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Longview, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it seems that each and every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that communicated a spirit of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is frequently the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo design for a software program programmer the style features and famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Longview logo design dsign with a graphic which captures the interest of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really designed for an Longview area farm it was actually developed for an investments broker, and this particular creative logo was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to produce a graphic that projects self-assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo designed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
