McAllen, Texas Logo Design

Nearly every new McAllen organization realizes that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the pivotal role their business logo can make in their financial success, or the reason that one logo functions more effectively than another. A logo has a critical and lasting influence on the financial success of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help McAllen, Texas businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be lasting and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.
Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a McAllen, Texas coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an older section of the area and wished to project a nostalgic tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by designing a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria designed for McAllen, Texas medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable center in McAllen, Texas.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for McAllen, Texas traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead project emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  McAllen logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

McAllen logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased judgements on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of challenges, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for McAllen, Texas book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, however it really is the most crucial part of a published book because it is often the first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many cases 1 of the traits folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was surely a success.

McAllen logo layout utilized for marketing and also a label design for Vintage Instance features an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in McAllen, Texas, design include an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it seems that almost every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which carried a feeling of simplicity and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is generally the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Logo style for a software application designer the style attributes and also famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to market their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their McAllen logo dsign utilizing an image which captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an McAllen, Texas area farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this logo design was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to make a graphic that projects esteem, financial success, and affluence.

McAllen Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for outwardly encountering arrowhead and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo developed for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to design a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
