New Braunfels, Texas Logo Design

Every new New Braunfels organization realizes that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully realize the crucial role their company logo will play in their success, or why one business logo works far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term effect on the growth of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help New Braunfels, Texas businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike created for a New Braunfels, Texas coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an older part of the area and wanted to cast a nostalgic feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both tasks by means of developing a symbol design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs developed for New Braunfels, Texas medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which deals with the clinical examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a household enjoyable facility in New Braunfels, Texas.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - made for New Braunfels, Texas traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  New Braunfels logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

New Braunfels logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design realize how vital a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of hurdles, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for New Braunfels, Texas publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most crucial part of a published book because it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it looks like that in many cases 1 of the aspects consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a feeling of air travel and it was surely a winner.

New Braunfels logo layout utilized for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in New Braunfels, Texas, design consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo which communicated an atmosphere of ease and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of creating just a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is frequently the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the attention on the perception that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo style created for a horse ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application designer the layout features and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their New Braunfels business logo dsign using a graphic that captures the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an New Braunfels, Texas area farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this particular company was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to create a image that projects trust, effectiveness, and affluence.

New Braunfels Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style function for externally facing arrowhead and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design created for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to develop a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
