Odessa Logo Design

Nearly every new Odessa business understands that they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully realize the key role their logo design can perform in their financial success, or the reason that one logo functions far better than another. A logo design has an instant and long term influence on the success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Odessa companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Odessa coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an old section of town and wanted to cast an old-fashioned tone without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs via developing a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs designed for Odessa medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog created for a family members fun facility in Odessa.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - created for Odessa travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Odessa logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Odessa logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get neutral judgements on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo comprehend how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of hurdles, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Odessa book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems like that in many cases 1 of the things folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Odessa logo layout utilized for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Odessa, design include an arc with lines converging through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that projected a sense of peace and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software program designer the design attributes as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Develop logo style produced for a Odessa indoor developer, layout feature a series of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to sell off their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Odessa logo design dsign with a graphic that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Odessa area farm it was really created for a products broker, and this particular company was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to design a brand mark that projected esteem, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design created for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a well-known sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
