Pharr, Texas Logo Design

Virtually every new Pharr organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully recognize the vital role their company logo can perform in their success, or exactly why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Pharr, Texas companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Pharr, Texas coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an older section of the community and wanted to cast an old-fashioned tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by means of designing a company logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also germs developed for Pharr, Texas medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine that deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping green frog created for a household enjoyable center in Pharr, Texas.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Pharr, Texas travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Pharr logo but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Pharr logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo understand how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Pharr, Texas book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most important part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it looks like that in many instances 1 of the aspects folks often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a spirit of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Pharr logo style utilized for marketing and also a label style for Vintage Case features an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Pharr, Texas, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it seems that every single dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually enjoy doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which projected a sense of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious route of creating just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a business logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo design for a software application designer the design features and iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

Progress logo style developed for a Pharr, Texas indoor developer, design attribute a series of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Pharr logo dsign along with an image which seizes the attention of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually designed for an Pharr, Texas area farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this logo was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make a graphic that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and opulence.

Pharr Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout feature for externally encountering arrowhead as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I hit a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo design created for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
