POINTERS ON DETERMINING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design firm presents a money back guarantee try to remember that they can’t refund the amount of time you commit which is eminently more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but ultimately a design agency can only be determined from the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio does not feature actual examples odds are they will not be able to deliver a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be recognized and be unforgettable, and it’s goal is to mirror your personal vision for your company. If a designer isn’t focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how soon they can get paid.

Rosenberg LOGO DESIGN

For over 20 years ImageCo has been helping business owners develop unforgettable brands. We’ve done brand design work for builders, educational institutions, heart surgeons, party planners, bistros, retailers, and just about every other kind of business you can think of. What makes ImageCo unique compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every branding project as though it will be employed as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first approach our identity designs can, and have been used in everything from clothing labels to neon signs. Our sign first approach insures that our logos are equally reliable whether they are used in television commercials or website headers, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and always remembered no matter of scale or application.

American Made ★ Design

Something which really sets ImageCo apart from other design firms that you probably have stumbled upon in Google’s search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every project we are contracted to do, we do ourselves. Regardless of the kind of design project we take on, business logo, web page, trade show exhibit, or electric sign, we do not, and never will job out our client’s projects to contractors located outside the United States. When you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that picks up the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that marks up the cost of your project and dictates the terms of how my customers and I do business.

ASPECTS OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Rosenberg business realizes that they probably need a logo, yet few new business owners fully recognize the essential role their logo will perform in their becoming successful, or why one business logo functions better than another. A company logo has an instant and lasting impact on the financial success of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Rosenberg companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the product or business they brand.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be enduring and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

understand your brand

Brand – It is both a verb and also a noun, it is an identifying mark and also the process of marking something to ensure that it can be identified, its foundation originates from the mark branded onto animals. Today a brand represents pretty much anything with an objective, regardless if it be revenue or political parties, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the value of a specific thing in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy sister, they are each from the very same family, the difference being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition targeted at a specific audience, it’s objective is to create a mental image that the audience will likely connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing and also identity design. When someone states the brand names Ferrari or Corvette what we consider is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can carry us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and unique . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals want those brands. Brand image is why people buy most things, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can identify with.

Branding Companies – If you look back at the beginning of the majority of branding firms you’ll find that they are frequently rebranded marketing firms. When somebody claims they are in advertising and marketing most individuals will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, touched or listened to are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that concentrates on a type of visual design which helps shape the public image of a firm, a product or an organization. Brand identity designers create logo designs, sign designs, product packaging, and collateral products such as business cards, stationery, as well as brochures. Some visual designers also develop websites and also user interfaces. The necessary role of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues and an emotional tone with the goal of affecting activities, end results and also assumptions.

select logos & signs

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Rosenberg coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an older section of the community and hoped to cast an old-fashioned tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks via creating a company logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs created for Rosenberg clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog made for a family fun facility in Rosenberg.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Rosenberg traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they often share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Rosenberg logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Rosenberg logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of challenges, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Rosenberg publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, but it really is the most important part of a published book since it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many instances one of the things individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a good sense of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

Rosenberg logo design used for advertising and marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Rosenberg, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a Rosenberg hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which carried a feeling of relaxation and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is generally the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo style developed for an equine ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind creative logo design customized to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. With a different head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most easily identifiable horse types in the world.

Las Cafe, A Rosenberg restaurant logo style a little restaurant, design contains a modified manuscript font which hovers above a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a small dining establishment, design consists of a modified script typeface which floats over a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software developer the layout attributes and renowned Rosenberg aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

Advance logo style developed for a Rosenberginterior designer, layout attribute a series of red circles that converge as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Rosenberg interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is someone who organizes, explores, coordinates, and manages such projects. Interior design is a diverse profession that consists of conceptual development, space planning, location inspections, programming, investigation, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Rosenberg, the personalities for letter V as well as A in middle of the word advanced have been modified to connect directly into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Rosenberg logo design assignment was completed for a leadership expert that helps business professionals to develop into more efficient at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Rosenberg business logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Rosenberg business logo design using a graphic which garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this Rosenberg company logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually designed for an Rosenberg area farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to generate an identity that projects esteem, success, and wealth.

Rosenberg Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design function for outwardly facing arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without knowing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first go.

Logo design made for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a renowned Rosenberg sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to design a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
