Saginaw Logo Design

Nearly every new Saginaw venture realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully recognize the crucial role their company logo will make in their becoming successful, or why one logo works more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and long-term impact on the financial success of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Saginaw businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require consideration, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Saginaw coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an older section of the town and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by creating a company logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for Saginaw medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable facility in Saginaw.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Saginaw travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather project emotional journeys through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Saginaw logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Saginaw logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo understand how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of difficulties, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Saginaw publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems that in many occurrences one of the traits individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Saginaw logo style made use of for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Instance features an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for every thing from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Saginaw, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that almost every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which conveyed a spirit of contentment and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a business logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is more often than not the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian equine logo style developed for a horse ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed an original logo concept customized to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a different head form and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable horse types in the entire world.

Las Cafe logo design a little dining establishment, design consists of a modified manuscript typeface which hovers above a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software developer the layout functions and also famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

Advance logo style created for a Saginaw indoor designer, design attribute a series of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Saginaw logo dsign utilizing an image which seizes the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t really created for an Saginaw regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to produce a graphic that projects confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design created for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is similar to a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
