Sherman Logo Design

Nearly every new Sherman venture realizes that they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully recognize the vital role their organization logo will play in their becoming successful, or why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A company logo has an immediate and sustaining effect on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Sherman companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Sherman coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old section of the community and really wanted to project a retro tone without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both tasks via designing a logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and germs developed for Sherman medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping green frog developed for a household fun center in Sherman.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Sherman travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Sherman logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Sherman logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest assessments on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo recognize how important a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Sherman publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many instances 1 of the things consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Sherman logo design utilized for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Sherman, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs because it appears that almost every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo that conveyed a spirit of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of creating just a stylized orchid but instead designed a company logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software programmer the design features as well as iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

Progress logo style developed for a Sherman interior designer, design feature a series of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Sherman logo design dsign with an illustration that garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really created for an Sherman regional farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this company was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make a brand mark that projects self-confidence, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design made for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to produce a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
