TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design firm offers a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they can not refund the amount of time you invest which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but in the end a design firm can only be evaluated by the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t contain real life examples chances are they will not be able to deliver a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s aim is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s purpose is to mirror your personal vision for your company. If a logo designer is not focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how soon they will get paid.

Stafford LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping small business owners develop notable brands. We have performed logo design work for mechanics, colleges, diamond miners, party planners, diners, retailers, and practically every other kind of business concern you can imagine. What makes us unique compared to our contemporaries is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every logo design project as if it will be utilized as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first method our logo designs can, and have been used in everything from fashion labels to billboards. Our sign first method guarantees that our logos are equally effective whether they are used in TV commercials or website apps, they are consistently identifiable, comprehended, and always remembered regardless of scale or use.

American Made ★ Design

Something which truly sets ImageCo apart from other design companies that you might possibly have stumbled upon on-line, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every project we are contracted to do, we do in-house. Regardless of the type of design project we undertake, business logo, web page, trade show exhibit, or retail sign, we do not, and never will job-out our customer’s work to organizations located outside the USA. When you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that marks up the price of your project and imposes the conditions of how we conduct business.

ASPECTS OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new Stafford company understands that they require a logo, but few start-ups entirely realize the pivotal role their organization’s logo will make in their success, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and long term effect on the financial success of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Stafford companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the product or organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be timeless and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

understand your brand

Brand – It is both a verb and a noun, it’s an identifying mark and also the process of noting something to make sure that it could be recognized, its genesis comes from the brand branded onto animals. These days a brand symbolizes practically anything with an objective, regardless of whether it be revenue or political parties, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the worth of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like marketing and advertising’s sexy sister, they are both from the same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a strategic popularity competition aimed at a target market, it’s objective is to create an image that the audience will likely identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing and also identity design. When somebody states the names Porsche or Corvette what we think of is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, elegance, of something dangerous and unique . That is brand image and that is what makes people want those products. Brand image is why people purchase most things, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can relate to.

Branding Firms – If you reflect on the origin of many branding companies you’ll discover that they are frequently re-branded marketing and advertising companies. When somebody claims they are in advertising most people will likely have an idea about what they do. However when a person claims “I’m in branding”… it just sounds much more attractive, perhaps it’s because the majority of people don’t know what it indicates to be in branding so it comes off as mysterious and kind of sexy.

Brand Identity – Is a comprehensive term that defines the visual aspects of a product or business that affect perceptions. This largely consists of the name, the logo, the product packaging, the different colors utilized yet can likewise consist of audio, lights, texture, signs, really anything that can be seen, touched or listened to belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that focuses on a type of visual design which helps form the public image of a firm, a product or an institution. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, and collateral products such as business cards, stationery, as well as pamphlets. Some visual designers also develop web sites and also user interfaces. The vital role of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues and also an emotional tone with the objective of influencing actions, end results and also assumptions.

Featured logos & signs

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Stafford coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an older section of the city and hoped to cast a nostalgic vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by designing a sign design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs designed for Stafford medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable facility in Stafford.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Stafford travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Stafford logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Stafford logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how crucial a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of challenges, however the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Stafford book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most important part of a printed book considering that it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems that in many instances one of the things people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Stafford logo layout used for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Case includes an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this logo design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Stafford, style include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects because it appears that every single dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a Stafford hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which related a feeling of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a company logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian steed logo style produced for an equine ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a one-of-a-kind company logo design customized to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. By having a different head form and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately identifiable equine types in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Stafford restaurant logo style a tiny restaurant, design contains a modified manuscript typeface which floats above a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small restaurant, style consists of a modified manuscript typeface which hovers above a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software designer the design attributes as well as legendary Stafford element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Progress logo style created for a Staffordinterior developer, design feature a collection of red circles that converge as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Stafford interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a professional who prepares, investigates, collaborates, and manages such ventures. Interior design is a diverse profession that involves conceptual development, area planning, site examinations, programming, study, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and execution of the design.

logo design done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Stafford, the characters for letter V and also A in middle of words advanced have been modified to link directly into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Stafford logo design assignment was undertaken for a leadership specialist that assists business professionals to develop into more effective at supervising people, expectations, and profitability.

A Stafford business logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Stafford business logo design along with an image that captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Logo layout MQ farms, this Stafford company logo layout has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually designed for an Stafford regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to design a graphic that projects assurance, financial success, and luxury.

Stafford Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout attribute for outwardly dealing with arrow and the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the flexibility to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first try.

Logo design developed for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a popular Stafford sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to develop a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
