Texarkana Logo Design

Virtually every new Texarkana venture understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners entirely realize the crucial role their logo can perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo functions far better than another. A logo design has a critical and sustaining influence on the success of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Texarkana businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Texarkana coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an old section of the community and wanted to cast an old-fashioned tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by creating a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Texarkana clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog created for a family fun center in Texarkana.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Texarkana traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Texarkana logo but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Texarkana logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial assessments on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo realize how essential a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s share of hurdles, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Texarkana book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most essential part of a published book since it is often the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it looks like that in many instances 1 of the aspects people usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Texarkana logo design used for advertising and a label style for Vintage Situation features an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Texarkana, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that conveyed a spirit of ease and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept that did not go the obvious direction of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is more often than not the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application designer the style features and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell off their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Texarkana business logo dsign utilizing a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t really designed for an Texarkana regional farm it was really created for a products broker, and this particular logo design was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to produce a graphic that projected self-confidence, success, and luxury.
Logo design designed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to create a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
