Waco Logo Design

Every new Waco business understands that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully are aware of the vital role their business logo can perform in their becoming successful, or why one logo design works more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and long term influence on the growth of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Waco businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Waco coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an older section of the area and hoped to project a vintage vibe without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both tasks by creating a business logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as bacteria made for Waco clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable facility in Waco.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - developed for Waco traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead convey emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Waco logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Waco logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest assessments on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Waco book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is often the initial thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems like that in many occurrences one of the items people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Waco logo design used for marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Situation features an old font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Waco, layout include an arc with lines converging through it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs because it appears that almost every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that carried an atmosphere of serenity and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious path of designing merely a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is in most cases the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo design for a software program designer the style attributes and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Waco business logo dsign with an image which seizes the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t actually produced for an Waco regional farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to design a image that projects trust, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo design developed for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to develop a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
