West Odessa Logo Design

Virtually every new West Odessa organization understands that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully grasp the key role their logo design will perform in their success, or exactly why one logo design works far better than another. A logo design has a critical and long term effect on the financial success of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help West Odessa companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a West Odessa coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an old part of the community and wished to visualize a vintage feel without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks via creating a symbol concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs created for West Odessa medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in West Odessa.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - designed for West Odessa travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather project emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West Odessa logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

West Odessa logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased assessments on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how essential a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for West Odessa publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a published book considering that it is usually the primary thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems like that in many cases one of the traits consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of air travel and it was definitely a success.

West Odessa logo style used for advertising and marketing and a label style for Vintage Case features an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in West Odessa, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that conveyed an atmosphere of ease and class for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of making simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo design which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is generally the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo design for a software application developer the layout functions and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the substance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their West Odessa logo design dsign using a graphic that pulls in the attention of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually composed for an West Odessa area farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to develop a graphic that projected self-assurance, financial success, and opulence.
Logo designed for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is similar to a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
