Bountiful Logo Design

Every new Bountiful venture understands that they require a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly grasp the pivotal role their logo can perform in their success, or precisely why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining impact on the growth of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Bountiful businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Bountiful coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an old section of the community and really wanted to visualize a retro vibe without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both tasks by designing a trademark concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Bountiful clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory examination of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog made for a household enjoyable center in Bountiful.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Bountiful travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead project emotional journeys through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bountiful logo design but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Bountiful logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design understand how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s share of difficulties, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Bountiful publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most crucial part of a printed book because it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems like that in many occurrences one of the traits folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of flight and it was definitely a winner.

Bountiful logo layout made use of for advertising and also a tag style for Vintage Case includes an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Bountiful, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which projected an atmosphere of contentment and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Las Cafe logo design a tiny restaurant, layout consists of a modified manuscript font style which hovers above a group of ornate lines and dots.

Logo design for a software developer the layout attributes and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

Develop logo style developed for a Bountiful interior designer, style function a series of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Bountiful business logo dsign using a graphic that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Bountiful regional farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this particular creative logo was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to design a brand mark that projected confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo design made for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is similar to a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to design a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
