Clearfield, Utah Logo Design

Every new Clearfield business understands that they need a logo, but few new business owners fully comprehend the key role their logo design will take in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo functions far better than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining influence on the growth of a company, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Clearfield, Utah companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be lasting and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.
Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Clearfield, Utah coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an older part of the area and hoped to project a vintage tone without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of developing a company logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria developed for Clearfield, Utah clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household fun facility in Clearfield, Utah.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Clearfield, Utah travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Clearfield logo design but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Clearfield logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial opinions on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo recognize how vital a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of hurdles, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Clearfield, Utah publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most important part of a printed book considering that it is usually the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many cases one of the aspects individuals usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was surely a victory.

Clearfield logo design used for advertising as well as a tag design for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Clearfield, Utah, layout include an arc with lines converging through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo which conveyed a spirit of relaxation and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design which did not go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is more often than not the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software program developer the layout features and also legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell off their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Clearfield business logo dsign using an image which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really created for an Clearfield, Utah regional farm it was in reality designed for a products broker, and this particular company was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to develop an identity that projected self-assurance, success, and prosperity.

Clearfield Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design attribute for externally encountering arrow and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without realizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo created for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to design a logo design which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
