East Millcreek Logo Design

Every new East Millcreek company realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners entirely understand the pivotal role their organization logo will take in their success, or why one logo design functions far better than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining effect on the financial success of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help East Millcreek companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a East Millcreek coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older part of the town and really wanted to project an old-fashioned atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks via creating a logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for East Millcreek clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family members fun facility in East Millcreek.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - created for East Millcreek travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  East Millcreek logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

East Millcreek logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased assessments on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo realize how vital a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s allotment of obstacles, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for East Millcreek book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most important part of a published book given that it is often the first thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it looks like that in many instances one of the aspects people often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was surely a success.

East Millcreek logo layout used for advertising as well as a label design for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in East Millcreek, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it appears that each and every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo that carried a sense of tranquility and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious route of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is in most cases the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the focus on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian steed logo style created for a horse ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a distinct company logo concept customized to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. With an identifiable head shape and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable horse types in the entire world.

Logo style for a software program designer the design functions and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

Progress logo style produced for a East Millcreek indoor developer, layout feature a series of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell off their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their East Millcreek logo design dsign with an illustration that grabs the interest of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really created for an East Millcreek area farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this company was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to make a image that projects esteem, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo created for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to design a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
