Lehi, Utah Logo Design

Every new Lehi organization understands that they require a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly realize the pivotal role their logo design can make in their becoming successful, or precisely why one business logo works far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the success of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Lehi, Utah businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Lehi, Utah coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an older part of town and wished to visualize a retro vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by developing a company logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and germs created for Lehi, Utah clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping green frog designed for a household fun facility in Lehi, Utah.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Lehi, Utah traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Lehi logo but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Lehi logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest viewpoints on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their business logo realize how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s portion of obstacles, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Lehi, Utah publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, however it really is the most crucial part of a published book because it is usually the first thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems like that in many cases 1 of the items folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was surely a victory.

Lehi logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and a tag style for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Lehi, Utah, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it seems that every single dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that projected an atmosphere of contentment and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is in most cases the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo layout developed for a steed ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted an original creative logo concept styled to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. With a distinctive head form and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily identifiable horse lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe logo style a little dining establishment, style contains a customized manuscript typeface which hovers above a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software program programmer the layout attributes and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Evolve logo design developed for a Lehi, Utah indoor developer, design feature a series of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to market their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Lehi logo dsign along with an illustration which seizes the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t actually created for an Lehi, Utah regional farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this company logo was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to make a image that projected self-confidence, financial success, and prosperity.

Lehi Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design function for externally dealing with arrow and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo made for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is evocative a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to create a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
