North Ogden Logo Design

Every new North Ogden organization understands that they require a logo, however few new business owners fully grasp the vital role their company logo can take in their success, or the reason that one logo functions far better than another. A logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the financial success of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help North Ogden companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a North Ogden coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an older section of the area and really wanted to cast a nostalgic tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs by creating a custom logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for North Ogden medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping green frog developed for a family enjoyable facility in North Ogden.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - designed for North Ogden travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  North Ogden logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

North Ogden logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their business logo realize how essential a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for North Ogden book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a published book since it is usually the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it looks like that in many occurrences one of the traits folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was definitely a winner.

North Ogden logo style utilized for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Instance features an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in North Ogden, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects because it appears that virtually every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that related a feeling of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious course of creating merely a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is usually the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Logo design for a software application designer the design functions and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a company logo is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their North Ogden logo design dsign utilizing an illustration which captures the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually produced for an North Ogden regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to develop a graphic that projected trust, success, and wealth.
Logo design designed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
