Orem Logo Design

Each and every new Orem company knows they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely understand the crucial role their business logo will perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo performs more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and long term influence on the success of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Orem businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Orem coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an old part of the community and wanted to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs by designing a trademark design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for Orem medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Orem.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Orem travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Orem logo but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Orem logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo understand how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Orem book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most important part of a printed book given that it is usually the first thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems that in many cases 1 of the items individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Orem logo style utilized for advertising and also a label style for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Orem, design include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it seems that virtually every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that conveyed a feeling of relaxation and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the attention on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian steed logo design produced for a horse cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind logotype design fashioned to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of equines. By having an identifiable head shape and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately recognizable equine breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a tiny restaurant, style contains a modified script font style which hovers over a group of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software designer the layout features and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Orem business logo dsign utilizing an image that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t really produced for an Orem regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this particular business logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make a image that projects assurance, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design designed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is evocative a popular sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
