Saratoga Springs Logo Design

Each and every new Saratoga Springs company understands that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully recognize the pivotal role their organization logo can perform in their financial success, or why one business logo performs better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term influence on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Saratoga Springs companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require contemplation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Saratoga Springs coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an old part of the area and wanted to cast a vintage feel without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by means of designing a logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for Saratoga Springs medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family fun center in Saratoga Springs.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Saratoga Springs travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Saratoga Springs logo but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Saratoga Springs logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased point of views on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design job has it’s share of difficulties, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Saratoga Springs publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a published book because it is often the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it looks like that in many cases one of the aspects folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Saratoga Springs logo layout utilized for advertising and a tag layout for Vintage Case features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Saratoga Springs, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to describe how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which projected a feeling of relaxation and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is in most cases the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo layout for a software application developer the style functions and also famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a logo design is just as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Saratoga Springs logo design project was completed for a leadership specialist that helps business professionals to become more effective at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Saratoga Springs logo design dsign along with a graphic which pulls in the attention of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has actually an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Saratoga Springs area farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to produce an identity that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo designed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to create a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
