Saratoga Springs, Utah Logo Design

Virtually every new Saratoga Springs business understands that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the essential role their business logo can perform in their financial success, or exactly why one logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and long term impact on the growth of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Saratoga Springs, Utah businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand contemplation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Saratoga Springs, Utah coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an old part of town and wished to visualize a retro atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two jobs via creating a trademark concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Saratoga Springs, Utah clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the clinical assessment of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a leaping green frog created for a household enjoyable center in Saratoga Springs, Utah.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Saratoga Springs, Utah traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Saratoga Springs logo but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Saratoga Springs logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest point of views on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo understand how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of obstacles, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Saratoga Springs, Utah book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most critical part of a published book because it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the traits people tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was certainly a winner.

Saratoga Springs logo design made use of for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Instance includes an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Saratoga Springs, Utah, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design which carried a feeling of calmness and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious route of creating just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a company logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian horse logo design created for a steed ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software program designer the design attributes as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to market their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Saratoga Springs logo dsign along with an illustration that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Saratoga Springs Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style function for outwardly dealing with arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo created for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is similar to a famous sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to develop a logo design that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
