Springville Logo Design

Nearly every new Springville organization understands that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners fully recognize the pivotal role their company logo will play in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo works far better than another. A company logo has an instant and long-term effect on the financial success of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Springville companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Springville coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an older part of the city and wished to visualize a vintage vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by developing a custom logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Springville clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family members fun facility in Springville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - developed for Springville travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Springville logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Springville logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get neutral opinions on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo realize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of challenges, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Springville publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most crucial part of a printed book considering that it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the book store. For a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many cases 1 of the items folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Springville logo style used for advertising as well as a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Springville, layout include an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that conveyed a spirit of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept that did not go the obvious route of making simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is generally the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software program programmer the layout features and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the substance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Springville logo dsign with an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t really developed for an Springville area farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this company was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to generate an identity that projects assurance, success, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
