Tooele, Utah Logo Design

Each and every new Tooele business professional knows they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully understand the pivotal role their company logo can make in their success, or the reason that one business logo works more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and sustaining effect on the success of a company, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Tooele, Utah companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand consideration, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.
Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Tooele, Utah coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an old section of the town and really wanted to cast a vintage atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by creating a trademark design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as bacteria made for Tooele, Utah clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family members fun center in Tooele, Utah.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Tooele, Utah traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Tooele logo but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Tooele logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get objective viewpoints on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo comprehend how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s allotment of difficulties, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Tooele, Utah book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a published book since it is in most cases the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems that in many occurrences one of the things consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Tooele logo layout utilized for marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Situation features an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this brand design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Tooele, Utah, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it appears that every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that related a feeling of relaxation and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the importance on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo design for a software designer the style attributes and also legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Tooele logo design dsign utilizing an image that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really created for an Tooele, Utah area farm it was actually created for a commodities broker, and this company logo was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to create an identity that projected assurance, financial success, and prosperity.

Tooele Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout feature for outwardly encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo made for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is reminiscent of a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to develop a logo design that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
