Danville Logo Design

Each and every new Danville business realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the vital role their logo will make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo design functions far better than another. A business logo has an instant and long term impact on the prosperity of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Danville companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Danville coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an old part of town and really wanted to project a nostalgic feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both tasks via designing a trademark design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs made for Danville medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable center in Danville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Danville travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Danville logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Danville logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial judgements on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo comprehend how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Danville book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most critical part of a published book considering that it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems like that in many cases one of the traits folks usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Danville logo style used for advertising and marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for every thing from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Danville, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that related a spirit of ease and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but rather designed a company logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is oftentimes the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo design for a software designer the layout attributes and famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Danville logo design dsign utilizing an image which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Danville regional farm it was in reality created for a products broker, and this particular company logo was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to develop a brand mark that projects esteem, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design created for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is evocative a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the business owner to create a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
