Fort Hunt Logo Design

Nearly every new Fort Hunt company knows they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the essential role their logo design will take in their financial success, or why one business logo functions far better than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining impact on the success of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Fort Hunt companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require consideration, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Fort Hunt coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an old part of the community and wanted to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs via developing a symbol design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs created for Fort Hunt medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a family fun facility in Fort Hunt.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Fort Hunt travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Fort Hunt logo design but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Fort Hunt logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial viewpoints on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo recognize how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Fort Hunt book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most vital part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the very first thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the things consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was surely a victory.

Fort Hunt logo layout used for marketing and a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this brand concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Fort Hunt, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that projected a feeling of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious course of designing just a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the attention on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the style features and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to market their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Fort Hunt logo dsign using a graphic that captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually created for an Fort Hunt regional farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this business logo was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to design a graphic that projects trust, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design made for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to develop a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
