Great Falls Logo Design

Virtually every new Great Falls venture understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners entirely comprehend the vital role their company logo can play in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo works far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the success of a business, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Great Falls businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Great Falls coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an old section of the area and really wanted to cast a vintage feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs by means of designing a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for Great Falls clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping green frog created for a household fun facility in Great Falls.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Great Falls traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Great Falls logo design but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Great Falls logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo design recognize how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s share of challenges, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Great Falls publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most important part of a published book because it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it looks like that in many instances one of the items individuals tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Great Falls logo design used for marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Case features an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Great Falls, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it appears that each and every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which related a feeling of serenity and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the focus on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian horse logo style produced for a horse ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind organization logo design styled to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. By having an identifiable head shape and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most easily recognizable equine breeds in the whole world.

Logo layout for a software program designer the style features and also legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Great Falls logo dsign along with an illustration which garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t really composed for an Great Falls regional farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this particular trademark was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to generate a graphic that projects assurance, success, and opulence.
Logo design made for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font that is reminiscent of a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
