Oak Hill Logo Design

Virtually every new Oak Hill business realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners fully understand the pivotal role their company logo will make in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo works far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long term effect on the prosperity of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Oak Hill companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require scrutiny, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Oak Hill coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an older section of the town and wanted to cast a nostalgic vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs via designing a logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also germs designed for Oak Hill clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Oak Hill.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Oak Hill traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead project emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Oak Hill logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Oak Hill logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced judgements on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo realize how crucial a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s share of hurdles, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Oak Hill book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most essential part of a published book given that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems like that in many cases one of the aspects consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

Oak Hill logo style made use of for advertising as well as a tag layout for Vintage Situation features an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Oak Hill, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that almost every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which projected a spirit of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of crafting simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a company logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the attention on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian horse logo style developed for a horse ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a distinct logo concept customized to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. By having a different head shape and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable equine types in the entire world.

Las Cafe logo layout a tiny restaurant, design includes a modified manuscript typeface which floats over a team of ornate lines and dots.

Logo design for a software application programmer the design attributes and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Oak Hill logo design assignment was performed for a management coach that aids business leaders to develop into more effective at overseeing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Oak Hill logo design dsign with an image that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t actually created for an Oak Hill regional farm it was actually devised for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of multiple which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to produce a graphic that projected trust, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo design developed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is similar to a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to design a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
