Sterling Logo Design

Each and every new Sterling business realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely realize the crucial role their business logo can perform in their financial success, or why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and sustaining impact on the prosperity of a business, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Sterling companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Sterling coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an old part of the area and hoped to cast a vintage tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by means of developing a business logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Sterling medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog developed for a family members fun center in Sterling.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Sterling traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Sterling logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Sterling logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest viewpoints on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Sterling book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a printed book due to the fact that it is often the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it looks like that in many cases one of the aspects folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Sterling logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Sterling, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs because it seems that every single dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which carried an atmosphere of contentment and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious route of making just a stylized orchid but instead created a logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is usually the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian equine logo design created for a horse ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind company logo concept styled to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. By having an identifiable head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately identifiable equine lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe logo design a small restaurant, design contains a changed manuscript font style which floats above a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a tiny dining establishment, style includes a changed script font which floats above a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software application designer the style functions as well as famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Sterling logo design dsign with an image that garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t really developed for an Sterling regional farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this trademark was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a brand mark that projected confidence, financial success, and luxury.
Logo developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the owner to produce a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
