Vienna Logo Design

Each and every new Vienna business realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly recognize the vital role their logo design will perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo works far better than another. A logo has a critical and long term impact on the growth of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Vienna companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Vienna coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an older section of town and hoped to visualize a nostalgic feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by designing a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and germs made for Vienna clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Vienna.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Vienna traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Vienna logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Vienna logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo design recognize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Vienna book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a published book since it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the things people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Vienna logo layout made use of for advertising and marketing and a label layout for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Vienna, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it appears that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that related an atmosphere of relaxation and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious path of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a company logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Logo layout for a software developer the layout attributes as well as iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell off their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Vienna business logo dsign using an image that pulls in the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t really composed for an Vienna regional farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this trademark was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to design a graphic that projected confidence, success, and affluence.
Logo design created for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
