Arlington Logo Design

Nearly every new Arlington business realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners fully comprehend the pivotal role their logo can make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design functions more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and long term influence on the prosperity of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Arlington businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require consideration, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Arlington coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an older part of the area and really wanted to visualize a retro vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by means of creating a company logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs created for Arlington medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping green frog created for a family members fun facility in Arlington.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Arlington traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Arlington logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Arlington logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get neutral judgements on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design comprehend how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Arlington book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, however it really is the most essential part of a published book given that it is ordinarily the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems like that in many occurrences one of the traits people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was surely a victory.

Arlington logo layout made use of for advertising and marketing and also a tag design for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Arlington, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs because it seems that every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that carried an atmosphere of ease and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious route of crafting simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo style a small dining establishment, design contains a customized script font which floats over a group of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo style for a software application programmer the layout functions and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

Advance logo layout developed for a Arlington indoor developer, style feature a series of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to sell off their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Arlington logo dsign using an image that seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually produced for an Arlington regional farm it was actually developed for an investments broker, and this particular business logo was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to produce an identity that projects confidence, financial success, and luxury.
Logo made for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is similar to a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to design a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
