Bainbridge-Island, Washington Logo Design

Virtually every new Bainbridge-Island business understands that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the vital role their logo can make in their becoming successful, or why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining effect on the growth of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Bainbridge-Island, Washington companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Bainbridge-Island, Washington coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old part of town and wanted to project an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs by creating a logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria designed for Bainbridge-Island, Washington medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that deals with the laboratory examination of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a family members fun center in Bainbridge-Island, Washington.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Bainbridge-Island, Washington travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bainbridge-Island logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Bainbridge-Island logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo realize how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of challenges, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Bainbridge-Island, Washington publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it looks like that in many cases one of the aspects consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Bainbridge-Island logo style made use of for marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Case features an old font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Bainbridge-Island, Washington, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs because it seems that virtually every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which conveyed a feeling of contentment and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious route of creating simply a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the attention on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian steed logo layout developed for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a unique logotype design styled to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. By having an unique head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily identifiable equine lineages in the entire world.

Logo design for a software programmer the layout functions as well as famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Progress logo layout produced for a Bainbridge-Island, Washington indoor developer, style feature a collection of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to market their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Bainbridge-Island business logo dsign using a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t actually created for an Bainbridge-Island, Washington regional farm it was in reality created for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make an identity that projected esteem, success, and opulence.

Bainbridge-Island Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design feature for externally facing arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without realizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo designed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to design a business logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
