Burien Logo Design

Virtually every new Burien organization knows they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly recognize the essential role their business logo will perform in their financial success, or the reason that one logo design functions better than another. A company logo has an instant and long term effect on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Burien companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Burien coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an old section of the town and hoped to cast a vintage feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs via creating a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs made for Burien clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a household fun center in Burien.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for Burien traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather project emotional experiences through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Burien logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Burien logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial point of views on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo design recognize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s share of difficulties, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Burien publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most important part of a printed book due to the fact that it is usually the first thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the traits individuals often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a spirit of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Burien logo design used for advertising and marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this brand design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Burien, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo jobs because it appears that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which related a feeling of tranquility and class for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a business logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the emphasis on the emotion that they wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian equine logo layout produced for a steed ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted an original brand concept customized to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. With a different head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable horse breeds in the world.

Logo style for a software application developer the layout functions and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Develop logo style developed for a Burien interior developer, layout function a series of red circles that converge as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Burien logo design project was carried out for a leadership expert that enables business professionals to develop into more effective at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Burien logo dsign utilizing an illustration which captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really created for an Burien area farm it was in reality created for a products broker, and this trademark was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to design a graphic that projected esteem, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo developed for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is evocative a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the owner to design a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
