Longview Logo Design

Virtually every new Longview organization understands that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully recognize the pivotal role their logo design can make in their success, or why one business logo functions far better than another. A business logo has an instant and long-term impact on the financial success of a company, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Longview companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Longview coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an old part of town and hoped to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs via designing a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs made for Longview medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the clinical examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog developed for a family members fun center in Longview.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Longview travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Longview logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Longview logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get honest judgements on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design realize how vital a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Longview publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a published book since it is usually the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems like that in many instances 1 of the traits individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Longview logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Instance features an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Longview, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs because it appears that every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo that communicated an atmosphere of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a small dining establishment, style contains a changed manuscript font which floats over a team of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software application designer the layout functions and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Evolve logo design created for a Longview interior developer, style feature a collection of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

logo layout done for Advanced Management Solutions, the personalities for letter V as well as A in center of the word advanced have been modified to tie directly right into words below.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Longview logo dsign using a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really produced for an Longview regional farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this company was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to generate a brand mark that projected trust, success, and luxury.
Logo design designed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is reminiscent of a popular sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
