Mill Creek East Logo Design

Nearly every new Mill Creek East business realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the vital role their company logo can play in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term influence on the growth of a company, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Mill Creek East businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Mill Creek East coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an old part of the community and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two jobs by means of designing a logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria created for Mill Creek East clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Mill Creek East.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Mill Creek East traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather project emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mill Creek East logo but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Mill Creek East logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced opinions on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Mill Creek East publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems like that in many cases one of the things folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a feeling of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Mill Creek East logo style made use of for marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Instance features an old font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Mill Creek East, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it seems that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo which carried a spirit of simplicity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious route of making just a stylized orchid but rather created a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the importance on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo design for a software program developer the layout features and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell off their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Mill Creek East logo design dsign using an illustration which seizes the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t actually created for an Mill Creek East regional farm it was in reality created for a commodities broker, and this brand was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make a graphic that projects confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo developed for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is evocative a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to design a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
