Mill Creek Logo Design

Each and every new Mill Creek organization understands that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully understand the pivotal role their organization logo can perform in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and sustaining effect on the success of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Mill Creek companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Mill Creek coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an older section of the town and wanted to project a vintage tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks via developing a company logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs designed for Mill Creek clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I remember in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Mill Creek.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Mill Creek travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mill Creek logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Mill Creek logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased point of views on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo design understand how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s share of obstacles, however the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Mill Creek publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, but it really is the most essential part of a published book given that it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book store. For a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many occurrences one of the things individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Mill Creek logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Instance includes an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Mill Creek, style include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it seems that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that conveyed a feeling of simplicity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious course of creating simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo style for a software developer the design functions and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Mill Creek business logo dsign utilizing a graphic which captures the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really developed for an Mill Creek regional farm it was in reality created for a products broker, and this business logo was one of several that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to produce a graphic that projected confidence, financial success, and luxury.
Logo made for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
