Monroe, Washington Logo Design

Nearly every new Monroe company understands that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the pivotal role their logo design can play in their financial success, or why one logo design performs better than another. A business logo has a critical and long term effect on the growth of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of an organization.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Monroe, Washington businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand scrutiny, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Monroe, Washington coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually launching in an older section of town and wished to project a retro tone without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs via developing a business logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs created for Monroe, Washington medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members enjoyable facility in Monroe, Washington.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - made for Monroe, Washington traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Monroe logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Monroe logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design recognize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Monroe, Washington book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most important part of a printed book given that it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many instances 1 of the traits consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was definitely a winner.

Monroe logo design utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Monroe, Washington, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it seems that every single dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that communicated an atmosphere of calmness and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious course of making simply a stylized orchid but instead created a business logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application programmer the style features and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Monroe business logo dsign using an image which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t really developed for an Monroe, Washington regional farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this particular business logo was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make a brand mark that projects assurance, financial success, and opulence.

Monroe Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design feature for externally dealing with arrow and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo designed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is similar to a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
