Mountlake Terrace Logo Design

Each and every new Mountlake Terrace business knows they require a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the essential role their business logo will play in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo performs more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and long-term impact on the success of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Mountlake Terrace companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require contemplation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Mountlake Terrace coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an old part of the town and wanted to cast a nostalgic tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by means of designing a company logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Mountlake Terrace clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the clinical examination of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family enjoyable facility in Mountlake Terrace.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Mountlake Terrace travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead project emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mountlake Terrace logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Mountlake Terrace logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo understand how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s portion of challenges, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Mountlake Terrace book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it looks like that in many cases 1 of the traits folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Mountlake Terrace logo design made use of for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Mountlake Terrace, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that carried a sense of ease and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but instead created a business logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is frequently the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the emphasis on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software developer the layout functions and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Mountlake Terrace logo dsign along with an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually composed for an Mountlake Terrace area farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to design a image that projected esteem, success, and prosperity.
Logo designed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is reminiscent of a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to create a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
