Mukilteo Logo Design

Nearly every new Mukilteo organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully recognize the vital role their organization logo can perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and long term impact on the growth of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Mukilteo businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Mukilteo coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an older part of the area and wanted to project a vintage vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs by creating a company logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria designed for Mukilteo clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog developed for a family members enjoyable facility in Mukilteo.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Mukilteo travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mukilteo logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Mukilteo logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased opinions on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Mukilteo publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most essential part of a published book because it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences one of the things individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was surely a success.

Mukilteo logo design used for advertising as well as a label design for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Mukilteo, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that almost every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which conveyed a feeling of serenity and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a company logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is frequently the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian equine logo design developed for an equine cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a unique company logo concept customized to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. With a different head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable equine lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a little restaurant, layout contains a changed script font style which hovers above a group of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo design for a software program developer the style attributes and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

Develop logo design created for a Mukilteo interior developer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that intersect as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Mukilteo logo design project was done for a management expert that enables business leaders to become more efficient at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Mukilteo business logo dsign using an illustration that seizes the attention of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t actually created for an Mukilteo area farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this particular company was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to produce a graphic that projects confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is similar to a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the proprietor to design a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
