Orchards Logo Design

Nearly every new Orchards company understands that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners entirely comprehend the key role their organization logo will perform in their financial success, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A logo has a critical and sustaining impact on the prosperity of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Orchards companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Orchards coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an old section of the community and hoped to project an old-fashioned tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks via creating a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Orchards clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping green frog designed for a household enjoyable facility in Orchards.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Orchards travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Orchards logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Orchards logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Orchards publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most vital part of a printed book given that it is often the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems that in many instances one of the things folks often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Orchards logo design made use of for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case features an old font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Orchards, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that virtually every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that communicated a spirit of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of making simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo design produced for an equine ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software program designer the layout features and also iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

Advance logo layout created for a Orchards indoor developer, style feature a series of red circles that intersect as well as change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to sell off their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Orchards logo design dsign along with an image that seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really developed for an Orchards area farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this company logo was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to develop a graphic that projects esteem, financial success, and wealth.
Logo designed for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo design that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
