Tumwater Logo Design

Virtually every new Tumwater organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly grasp the crucial role their organization logo can take in their success, or why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining impact on the growth of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Tumwater businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Tumwater coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old section of town and wanted to cast a retro vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by developing a custom logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also bacteria created for Tumwater clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog made for a family members fun facility in Tumwater.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - made for Tumwater traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Tumwater logo design but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Tumwater logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get honest viewpoints on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Tumwater book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most critical part of a printed book since it is usually the first thing a person views in the bookstore. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems like that in many instances 1 of the traits consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

Tumwater logo design utilized for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Instance features an old font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Tumwater, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which conveyed an atmosphere of calmness and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious path of creating just a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the importance on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian equine logo design created for a horse ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application designer the layout attributes and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

Progress logo style developed for a Tumwater indoor designer, style function a collection of red circles that intersect as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the characters for letter V as well as A in center of the word advanced have been modified to tie straight right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Tumwater logo design project was undertaken for a leadership coach that enables business professionals to develop into more effective at managing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Tumwater business logo dsign using a graphic that seizes the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Tumwater area farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this company was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop a image that projected confidence, financial success, and wealth.
Logo created for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a famous sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
