Wenatchee, Washington Logo Design

Virtually every new Wenatchee company realizes that they require a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly grasp the vital role their business logo can take in their financial success, or why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and sustaining effect on the growth of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Wenatchee, Washington companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.
Retro logo design of a bike created for a Wenatchee, Washington coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an old part of the town and hoped to project an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs by means of developing a company logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also germs created for Wenatchee, Washington clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household fun facility in Wenatchee, Washington.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Wenatchee, Washington travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Wenatchee logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Wenatchee logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased point of views on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo realize how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of difficulties, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Wenatchee, Washington book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many cases 1 of the things folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

Wenatchee logo layout used for advertising and marketing and a label style for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Wenatchee, Washington, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that related an atmosphere of relaxation and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of making merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the emphasis on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo style for a software application programmer the style attributes and renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Wenatchee business logo dsign along with a graphic that garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t really composed for an Wenatchee, Washington regional farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this particular business logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to develop a graphic that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.

Wenatchee Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style feature for outwardly facing arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the opportunity to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I hit a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo design created for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a renowned sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to produce a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
