Yakima Logo Design

Every new Yakima organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly realize the pivotal role their business logo will perform in their success, or precisely why one business logo functions better than another. A logo design has a critical and sustaining effect on the success of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Yakima companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Yakima coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an old section of the area and hoped to visualize a retro tone without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by means of developing a business logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Yakima medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable center in Yakima.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Yakima travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Yakima logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Yakima logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design realize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s allotment of challenges, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Yakima publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most necessary part of a published book given that it is usually the first thing a person views in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the things people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Yakima logo design made use of for marketing and a label style for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Yakima, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it seems that each and every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that related a feeling of ease and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious course of creating simply a stylized orchid but instead created a logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application programmer the style functions as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo design is just as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Yakima logo design dsign with an image which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really produced for an Yakima regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this brand was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to create a graphic that projects assurance, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is reminiscent of a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
