POINTERS ON PICKING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design agency offers a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they simply cannot reimburse the amount of time you invest which is much more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but in the end a design agency can only be determined by the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t contain actual examples chances are they will not be able to deliver a top quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be recognized and remembered, and it’s goal is to echo your unique vision for your organization. If a designer is not focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Clarksburg LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping entrepreneurs develop unforgettable brand identities. We’ve done brand design work for mechanics, schools, diamond miners, wedding singers, cafes, retailers, and virtually every other kind of business concern you can envision. What makes ImageCo unique compared to traditional designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every brand identity project as though it will be used as an electrical sign. As a result of our sign first method our identity designs can, and have been employed in everything from garment labels to electrical signs. Our sign first approach insures that our logo designs are just as reliable whether they are used in television commercials or website applications, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and always remembered no matter of size or function.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference which really sets ImageCo apart from many of the design companies that you probably have stumbled upon on-line, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every project we are brought on board to do, we do in-house. Irrespective of the type of project we accept, brand identity design, web page, trade show banners, or commercial sign, we do not, and never will job-out our customer’s projects to agencies based outside the USA. When you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a middleman that increases the cost of your design project and imposes the terms of how we do business.

QUALITIES OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

Every new Clarksburg business realizes that they require a logo, however few start-ups entirely grasp the pivotal role their organization’s logo can play in their financial success, or exactly why one logo design functions far better than another. A business logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the financial success of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Clarksburg companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not need consideration, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from label to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the product or company they brand.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be enduring and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

understand your brand

Brand – It is both a verb and a noun, it is an identifying mark and also the process of marking something so that it can be distinguished, its origin comes from the mark branded onto livestock. These days a brand symbolizes virtually anything with an objective, regardless if it be profit or political parties, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of defining the worth of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy sister, they are each from the very same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition aimed at a target audience, it’s objective is to create a mental image that the audience will likely relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing and also identity design. When someone states the brand names Ferrari or Mustang what we think about is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can carry us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and exotic . That is brand image and brand image is what makes people want those brands. Brand image is why individuals acquire specific brands, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you look back at the beginning of the majority of branding firms you’ll discover that they are often rebranded advertising and marketing agencies. When a person claims they are in marketing the majority of people will likely have a preconceived notion about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or listened to belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a designer that specializes in a kind of visual design which helps shape the image of a business, a product or an institution. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, sign designs, packaging, as well as collateral products such as cards, stationery, and also pamphlets. Some visual designers also design sites and also software interfaces. The crucial function of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues as well as an emotional tone with the objective of affecting activities, results as well as understandings.

Featured SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Clarksburg coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an older part of town and hoped to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks via designing a custom logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria developed for Clarksburg medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable facility in Clarksburg.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Clarksburg travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Clarksburg logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Clarksburg logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased point of views on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design realize how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Clarksburg publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most important part of a published book given that it is often the primary thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many cases 1 of the things people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Clarksburg logo style utilized for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Case features an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Clarksburg, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that each and every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a Clarksburg hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that related a feeling of simplicity and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo design that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the attention on the perception that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo design developed for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted an original custom logo concept fashioned to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. With a distinctive head shape and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately recognizable horse breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Clarksburg Coffee shop logo layout a small restaurant, design contains a changed script font style which floats over a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a tiny dining establishment, style consists of a changed script typeface which floats over a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software application programmer the style functions as well as iconic Clarksburg aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Advance logo style produced for a Clarksburgindoor designer, style attribute a collection of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Clarksburg interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a professional who plans, explores, collaborates, and manages such ventures. Interior design is a diverse occupation that involves conceptual development, space planning, location inspections, programming, study, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction supervision, and execution of the design.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Clarksburg, the characters for letter V and also A in middle of words progressed have actually been customized to tie directly into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Clarksburg logo design project was carried out for a management expert that aids business professionals to become more successful at supervising people, expectations, and profitability.

A Clarksburg business logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Clarksburg logo design design utilizing an illustration that garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this Clarksburg company logo style has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually created for an Clarksburg area farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this logo design was one of multiple which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to produce an identity that projects self-assurance, financial success, and wealth.

Clarksburg Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design attribute for ostensibly dealing with arrowhead and also the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without realizing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo made for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned Clarksburg sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
