Beaver Dam Logo Design

Each and every new Beaver Dam organization realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the crucial role their organization logo can play in their becoming successful, or why one logo design works far better than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term impact on the prosperity of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Beaver Dam companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Beaver Dam coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older section of the city and really wanted to project a nostalgic feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks via developing a company logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Beaver Dam medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members fun center in Beaver Dam.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Beaver Dam travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Beaver Dam logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Beaver Dam logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get objective assessments on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s portion of hurdles, however the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Beaver Dam publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most vital part of a published book because it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the book store. For a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many cases one of the aspects people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Beaver Dam logo layout made use of for advertising and a label design for Vintage Case includes an archaic typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Beaver Dam, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which carried a sense of serenity and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious path of designing merely a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo design for a software application programmer the design features and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to market their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Beaver Dam logo design dsign along with an image that captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually produced for an Beaver Dam area farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this creative logo was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to produce a image that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo developed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
