Cudahy Logo Design

Virtually every new Cudahy company knows they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners entirely comprehend the crucial role their business logo can take in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo design functions better than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting influence on the growth of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Cudahy businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Cudahy coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an old section of the city and wished to project a retro vibe without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs via designing a sign concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also germs designed for Cudahy clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a household fun center in Cudahy.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Cudahy traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Cudahy logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Cudahy logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get objective assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo realize how vital a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s portion of obstacles, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Cudahy publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a printed book since it is often the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems like that in many instances 1 of the items people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Cudahy logo style used for advertising and also a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Cudahy, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo that projected an atmosphere of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather designed a business logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo style for a software designer the design features and also famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

Develop logo style developed for a Cudahy interior designer, layout attribute a series of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Cudahy logo design dsign along with a graphic that seizes the attention of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really produced for an Cudahy regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this creative logo was one of multiple which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop a graphic that projects trust, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is similar to a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo design which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
