Fitchburg, Wisconsin Logo Design

Each and every new Fitchburg venture understands that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely realize the vital role their organization logo can take in their financial success, or why one logo design functions better than another. A business logo has an instant and long term impact on the prosperity of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Fitchburg, Wisconsin businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Fitchburg, Wisconsin coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an older section of the town and wished to project an old-fashioned feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by developing a trademark design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria developed for Fitchburg, Wisconsin clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which works with the clinical examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog developed for a household fun center in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Fitchburg, Wisconsin traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Fitchburg logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Fitchburg logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s allotment of difficulties, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Fitchburg, Wisconsin book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most important part of a published book given that it is often the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems like that in many instances 1 of the aspects folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a sense of air travel and it was definitely a success.

Fitchburg logo layout used for marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Case includes an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that each and every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which carried a sense of contentment and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious course of making simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a business logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is generally the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the importance on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Las Cafe logo style a tiny restaurant, layout contains a modified manuscript typeface which floats above a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software developer the layout attributes as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a company logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Fitchburg logo dsign utilizing an image that garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Fitchburg, Wisconsin area farm it was actually created for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to create an identity that projects assurance, effectiveness, and affluence.

Fitchburg Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style function for outwardly dealing with arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the flexibility to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo created for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is similar to a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
