Oshkosh Logo Design

Nearly every new Oshkosh venture knows they require a logo, but few new business owners entirely recognize the crucial role their organization logo can play in their success, or why one business logo performs far better than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term influence on the growth of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Oshkosh companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand scrutiny, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Oshkosh coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an old part of the area and wished to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by means of creating a custom logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs designed for Oshkosh medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable center in Oshkosh.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Oshkosh traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead project emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Oshkosh logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Oshkosh logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how essential a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of difficulties, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Oshkosh book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most necessary part of a printed book given that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems like that in many instances 1 of the items individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a feeling of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Oshkosh logo layout made use of for advertising and a label design for Vintage Case includes an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Oshkosh, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it seems that every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design which carried a feeling of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a business logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software program programmer the layout functions and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Oshkosh business logo dsign along with an image that pulls in the attention of traffic and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Oshkosh regional farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this particular company logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to design a brand mark that projects assurance, financial success, and affluence.
Logo created for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the proprietor to design a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
