Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin Logo Design

Nearly every new Pleasant Prairie company understands that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully realize the vital role their organization logo will perform in their success, or precisely why one logo works better than another. A company logo has a critical and sustaining effect on the growth of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an older part of the town and wished to cast an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both jobs via developing a custom logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide as well as germs made for Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog designed for a family members fun center in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Pleasant Prairie logo but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Pleasant Prairie logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective assessments on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo design project has it’s share of difficulties, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems like that in many instances 1 of the items individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a feeling of airline flight and it was certainly a success.

Pleasant Prairie logo layout utilized for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this brand design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, design consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects because it appears that almost every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which communicated a feeling of relaxation and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo design that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo design for a software program designer the layout features as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Pleasant Prairie logo design dsign along with an image which pulls in the interest of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t really created for an Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin area farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make an identity that projects self-assurance, financial success, and luxury.

Pleasant Prairie Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style function for ostensibly dealing with arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo designed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is evocative a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
