Sheboygan, Wisconsin Logo Design

Virtually every new Sheboygan organization knows they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the pivotal role their logo will make in their becoming successful, or why one logo works far better than another. A company logo has an instant and lasting impact on the prosperity of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Sheboygan, Wisconsin companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Sheboygan, Wisconsin coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an older section of the community and wanted to cast a retro tone without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks via designing a company logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Sheboygan, Wisconsin clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Sheboygan, Wisconsin traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Sheboygan logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Sheboygan logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial viewpoints on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo design understand how essential a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of obstacles, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Sheboygan, Wisconsin book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most critical part of a printed book since it is usually the very first thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it looks like that in many instances one of the things people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a feeling of airline flight and it was surely a success.

Sheboygan logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Instance features an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, design include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it seems that each and every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that carried an atmosphere of tranquility and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious course of making merely a stylized orchid but instead created a logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is more often than not the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the main focus on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the style attributes as well as legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Sheboygan logo dsign with an illustration which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually developed for an Sheboygan, Wisconsin area farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. Sheboygan Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design feature for outwardly encountering arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the flexibility to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without realizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design made for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is evocative a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the proprietor to create a business logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
